FULL DAY – SEA EXCURSION

Tour in the north east of the Dominican Republic by bus. Journey time approximately 2:30 hours.

Arrival in Miches, boarding a catamaran to reach the area of the Humpback Whale sanctuary, where the sighting that usually lasts about 2 hours will start: the whales come from the North Pole to give birth to their young.

An unforgettable adventure, it will be a unique emotion to be able to photograph these magnificent specimens at close range.

It is an authentic wonder of nature.

The Bay of Samanà, in the region northeast of the Dominican Republic, becomes in the period between Mid-January and Mid-March the place with the highest concentration of humpback whales.

These cetaceans are among the largest marine mammals: they measure on average between 12 and 15 meters and can weigh up to 60 tons.

After the sighting he will reach the small Caribbean island of Cayo Levantado, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Stop of about 3 hours with lunch with typical Dominican dishes and relax on the beach.

In about 50 minutes you will return to Catamaran in Miches, where you will take the bus that will take you back to Bayahibe in the respective resorts.
